Text Box: My Testimony: I was blessed to be raised in a strong Christian home.  At age 9, I accepted Jesus Christ at First Baptist Church in McCamey, TX and was baptized one week later on November 1, 1987.  Through the influences of my family, church family, Sunday School, RA camps, and personal understanding, God made it clear to me through the Holy Spirit to publicly acknowledge my personal relationship with Him.  The Lord has remained in control of my life ever since.         At the age of twelve, I remember learning about the return of Christ and prophecy.  I realized at that age that I should live a life of godliness knowing that Christ’s return is very soon.  From this point on, the study of prophecy and apologetics became a strong desire of mine.  I wanted to know what my faith was based on.  I began to read more and more books.   I asked the Lord to help me understand His word and His being.  The Lord developed in me the spiritual gift of faith. Through Jr. High and High School, I attended youth camps, conferences, etc., always seeming to grow more and more.  The Lord placed in my life three friends that stood by me and encouraged me.  We grew together in our faiths and endured the same struggles.  Different youth pastors and Sunday school teachers helped to disciple me and equip me in my growing faith.  The Lord instilled in me a strong desire to know Him and to pursue righteousness. As an undergrad, God has helped me to consistently read His word and meditate on it daily.  The love of scripture is utmost for me. He has helped me to grow stronger in my faith and in wisdom.  I have gone through different struggles with sins all my life but God has continued to grow me through these faults.  Dieing to myself has been a pursuit of mine and this has brought about more of Christ’s likeness in my life.  One of the greatest blessings in my life is that of my wife Julie.  She is an extraordinary young woman.  She is God's greatest gift to me. Text Box: My Testimony:   I was raised in a Christian home and attended church all my life.  I made the decision to make Christ my savior when I was 9.  I was at a revival and the pastor was talking about how we need Jesus and we can’t do it on our own.  I knew lots of stories about Jesus and what He did for us, but I had never realized that I needed what He did for me. I made the decision that night, and after talking more with my parents I made my decision public to my church and was baptized.    As I grew in my knowledge of Christ I began to realize that it was more than just a decision but a lifestyle.
