kick off: Discuss science fair progress – check Design Cycle Journal: the Plan page and 2 entries of Student Progress Log – due Jan. 9th

1. Essay: Global Warming discussion questions (you should have your notes/thoughts already in your journal)

  •  due Tomorrow
  • must be typed – use the following template

Answer the following questions for your essay (each question is a subtitle):

  • What is Global Warming? 
  • Is it a fact or a theory?
  • What are the conflicting perceptions of the idea of global warming?
  • Is the earth experiencing global warming…what is the evidence?
  • Would global warming be beneficial to the earth? 
  • Why is carbon dioxide vital to the earth?
  • Is there a political agenda tied to Global Warming education? 

You may use all the resources available –

1. articles concerning the debate on Global Warming

2. View the "Global Warming Debate" video  (20/20 – Stossel)

3. "Inconvenient Falsehoods" ppt – notes available here, or the original file with videos available here
