kick off: answer the following question in 2-3 sentences: How would you explain an understanding of rocks and minerals to an elementary student?

1. hand out "A Rockin’ Book" unit assessment

2. begin Geology ppt / notes – (use interwrite gallery)

hw:

- read ch.9 and answer questions 1-10 on pg. 272 and #20 on pg.273 – due Friday

- "A Rockin’ Book"due Feb.4th
